John went to his appointment at Beaumont Hospital this morning and they said if he loses 20 pounds, to call for another appointment. Once they see that he is committed to losing the weight and keeping it off for his sake to deter the diabetes after the transplant then we'll continue with the transplant process.
So, this is good news:) Obviously we were hoping for something sooner; however, we also do not want to hinder John's health either. So, if we have to wait a few months...so be it.
We're just so happy that John is willing to help out his brother this way.
